Itinerary
Day 1: Yerevan City Tour and New Year Celebration
Once you step off the plane at Zvartnots Airport in Yerevan, get ready for a warm welcome. We’ll be there to greet you and take you to your hotel, where your journey begins. The city tour starts right from your hotel, revealing Yerevan’s landmarks that make Yerevan unique – from the iconic Republic Square to the grand Opera House, the captivating Cascade Complex, the powerful figure of Mother Armenia, and other gems that give our city its charm.
Later, get ready for your first taste of Armenian cuisine, an adventure that marks the start of your exploration.
Next, we’ll enjoy a pleasant stroll through the Christmas market. Here, we can admire and, if desired, purchase traditional Christmas items such as Christmas tree decorations, holiday decorations, handmade crafts and more.
Upon your request, we can organize a tasting of the most delicious mulled wine (glint-wine) during the walk!
We’ll conclude the day by celebrating the New Year in a festive atmosphere with a musical show! In Armenia, we believe that the way you meet the New Year is the way it will go. So let’s party! May the new year of 2024 bring happiness, prosperity, and peace to our countries!

Day 2: Garni Temple – Geghard Monastery – Symphony of Stones – Vernissage Market
Our journey continues as we start our trip heading to the village of Garni. Here, a marvel awaits – the only surviving Greek-style pagan temple in Armenia, constructed in the 1st century AD. This remarkable side has a unique energy; try to sense its presence!
Next, we’ll venture to the Azat River gorge, where the natural wonder known as the Symphony of Stones awaits. Feel the breeze from the river as you capture the beauty of the “basalt organs” in your photographs.
Later we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch at a local family’s home in the village of Garni.
Following our meal, we’ll explore Geghard Monastery, a UNESCO heritage site. This 13th-century wonder is partially carved inside a massive rock.
Afterwards, we’ll return to the city, making a final stop at the Vernissage Flea Market.

Day 3: Lake Sevan – Dilijan – Haghartsin Monastery
Today, our journey continues as we head to Lake Sevan, affectionately called “our sea” by the locals. Lake Sevan ranks among the world’s largest high-altitude freshwater lakes. Our first stop leads us to the lake’s peninsula, where we will visit Sevanavank Monastery. Here you will enjoy a sweeping view of the blue lake and the mountains.
Then the road will lead us to Tavush, the greenest region of Armenia. As we navigate the winding serpentine roads towards beautiful town Dilijan you will enjoy captivating views of Dilijan National Park. After that we’ll have a short stop at the old town of Dilijan to visit some craftsmen of the town.
A delightful lunch awaits in a local restaurant.
Post-lunch, our journey continues to Haghartsin Monastery, nestled amidst lush green forests. Here you will have a lot of captivating stories. And while you’re here, be sure not to miss the opportunity to taste the local monastery honey!

Day 4: Khor Virap – Areni – Noravank
Today, we’re off to explore the treasures of southern Armenia. Our first stop is the Khor Virap Monastery. Immerse yourself in the stories of this historic site and the hills around it. Keep your camera ready to capture the highlight – an exceptional view of the Biblical Mount Ararat.
Leaving the Ararat Valley behind, we’ll head to Vayots Dzor province. A must-see is Areni, a renowned wine village where history comes to life in the archaeological cave Areni 1. It’s here that the archeologists discovered the world’s oldest leather shoe (5500 years old) and the oldest winery (6100 years old).
Time for a delightful lunch and wine tasting at a local winery.
In the afternoon, we’ll visit the remarkable Noravank Monastery nestled in a charming canyon.

Day 5: Etchmiadzin – Zvartnots – Armenian Carpet Factory
Welcome to Day 5 of your adventure. Today, we venture to Etchmiadzin, a city often referred to as the “Armenian Vatican” by our tourists. Here, you’ll visit the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, the residence of the Holy Catholicos of Armenians, Gevorgian Seminary, and captivating museums. During the tour at the main museum, you’ll marvel at essential Christian relics integral to our church.
Continuing our journey, we’ll visit the UNESCO-listed Zvartnots Cathedral. Here, we’ll uncover the remains of a 7th-century cathedral, standing as a testament to history.
After visiting the cultural landmarks, a delicious lunch and a sweet surprise await us! We will participate in an exciting masterclass on preparing a traditional Armenian dessert.
After lunch, we’ll have some free time for you to relax and get ready for the evening.
Get ready for a unique farewell dinner experience at a distinguished restaurant nestled within the Armenian Carpet Factory. As part of this exceptional evening, you’ll also enjoy a guided tour of the carpet factory and its captivating museum.
