The capital of Armenia is Yerevan city. The city has many epithets – “garden city”, “pink city”, “open-air museum” and others.

Yerevan is one of the oldest cities in the world. Its age is more than 2800 years and dates back to the construction of the Erebuni fortress in 782 BC.
