Famous Armenian brandy. What has been done? Physical and mental work has been introduced to give this amber drink unique flavors and become known all over the world. But even in ancient times, Armenians tried to get such a drink. There is a well-known story about a drink made by Emperor Nero from Armenia in the 1st century, which was acquired by the winemaker of Tiridates the First, who managed to distill alcohol from a herbal tincture. Maybe this is not brandy, but something like that. The industrial production of brandy was founded by the merchant Nerses Tairov, who built the first brandy factory in 1887. But Shustov brought fame to Armenian brandy. It was even called “Shustov brandy”. He has invested not only in the financial development of brandy all over the world, but also in the creative capabilities of his time. Sending young people with aristocratic manners to the best restaurants in European cities, who asked the sommelier to order Shustov brandy without receiving it, they left this institution indignant, thus forcing the owners of those restaurants to buy a lot of Armenian brandy and then advertise it to customers. Armenian brandy won the Grand Prix at the World’s Fair in Paris in 1900, as it received the exclusive right to be called “brandy” as a foreign production supplied to Europe.

Well-known technological engineers of the brandy factory have played an important role in different periods, receiving new aromas and new brands of Armenian brandy, thanks to which they managed to preserve the spirits of brandy in barrels for aging.

And now the most important!!! – Until you taste Armenian brandy in Armenian Highland, where Mount Ararat is located, with the fruits grown in the Ararat Valley on the table, with the hospitable people of the country sitting around the table, you will not be able to adequately appreciate all the charm, honesty and philosophy of this drink.
