Day 1: Arrival in Yerevan – Welcome to Armenia! 

Once you step off the plane at Zvartnots Airport in Yerevan, get ready for a warm welcome. We’ll be there to greet you and take you to your hotel, where your journey begins. The city tour starts right from your hotel, revealing Yerevan’s landmarks that make Yerevan unique – from the iconic Republic Square to the Grand Opera House, the captivating Cascade Complex, the powerful figure of Mother Armenia, and other gems that give our city its charm.

Get ready for a cozy evening at a welcome dinner, your first taste of Armenian cuisine, an adventure that marks the start of your exploration. 

Overnight in Yerevan

Day 2: From Paganism to Christianity 

Our journey continues as we start our trip heading to the village of Garni. Here, a marvel awaits – the only surviving Greek-style pagan temple in Armenia, constructed in the 1st century AD. This remarkable side has a unique energy; try to sense its presence!

Next, we’ll venture to the Azat River gorge, where the natural wonder known as the Symphony of Stones awaits. Feel the breeze from the river as you capture the beauty of the “basalt organs” in your photographs.

Later we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch at a local family’s home in the village of Garni.

Following our meal, we’ll explore Geghard Monastery, a UNESCO heritage site. This 13th-century wonder is partially carved inside a  massive rock.

Afterward,  we’ll return to the city, making a final stop at the Vernissage Flea Market.

Day 3: Ararat Valley – Armenian Famous Wine Route  

Today, we’re off to explore the treasures of southern Armenia. Our first stop is the Khor Virap Monastery. Immerse yourself in the stories of this historic site and the hills around it. Keep your camera ready to capture the highlight – an exceptional view of the Biblical Mount Ararat.

Leaving the Ararat Valley behind, we’ll head to Vayots Dzor province. A must-see is Areni, a renowned wine village where history comes to life in the archaeological cave Areni 1. It’s here that the archeologists discovered the world’s oldest leather shoe (5500 years old) and the oldest winery (6100 years old).

Time for a delightful lunch and wine tasting at a local winery.

In the afternoon, we’ll visit the remarkable Noravank Monastery nestled in a charming canyon.Get ready for a day filled with history and stunning scenery.

Overnight in Yerevan 

Day 4: Armenian Switzerland – Transfer to Tbilisi – Welcome to Georgia!

 Today, we are heading to Tbilisi. But before passing the Armenian and the Georgian border we still have some beautiful places to visit.

The first stop will be at Lake Sevan, affectionately called “our sea” by the locals. Lake Sevan ranks among the world’s largest high-altitude freshwater lakes. Our first stop leads us to the lake’s peninsula, where we will visit  Sevanavank Monastery. Here you will enjoy a sweeping view of the blue lake and the mountains.

Then the road will lead us to Tavush, the greenest region of Armenia. As we navigate the winding serpentine roads towards the beautiful town of Dilijan you will enjoy captivating views of Dilijan National Park. After that, we’ll have a short stop at the old town of Dilijan to visit some craftsmen of the town. 

After Dilijan, our journey continues to the village Fioletovo. This is a famous Molocan village. Our guide will tell about Molocan people in Armenia, about their traditions, lifestyle etc. You will also have a chance to visit a Molocan family. We will have tea and some local food. You can communicate with the family, ask questions or simply enjoy their beautiful garden walk.  

And the last cultural asset you are going to visit in Armenia is Haghpat Monastery (UNESCO)

We are heading to the border. Here your Armenian guide will explain all the details of border passing and your Georgian guide will welcome you at the other side of the border. 

Check in at the hotel and welcome dinner. 

Overnight in Tbilisi

Day 5: Tbilisi and Mtskheta – Exploring Georgia’s Rich Heritage

We will start the day with  Tbilisi’s Old City. The journey includes a visit to the Abanotubani district, renowned for its iconic sulfur baths. Later we’ll have a stroll through the enchanting Leghvtakhevi area, and marvel at the contemporary architectural wonders of the Peace Bridge and Rike Park. Conclude your morning with a cable car ride to the Mother of Georgia statue, from where an amazing view opens. 

In the afternoon we’ll set out for Mtskheta, a  UNESCO-listed town with rich history. Our first stop is the remarkable Jvari Monastery, a 6th-century jewel standing high on a hill. From this vantage point, we’ll admire the breathtaking view of two rivers, the Mtkvari and Aragvi, a view that has left countless visitors in awe.
Next, we’ll head to  the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. According to a legend right here  Jesus Christ’s holy robe is buried. 

As we return to Tbilisi in the evening, consider dining at one of the city’s renowned restaurants. After dinner, make sure you get a good rest to be ready for the upcoming days.

Day 6:Discovering the Majestic Kazbegi

After a delicious breakfast in Tbilisi, we’ll start our  journey towards Kazbegi, a place full of breathtaking landscapes. We’ll start the day by visiting the Ananuri Fortress, a captivating architectural gem that holds tales from the 14th century.
Next stop is by the beautiful Jinvali Water Reservoir, glistening amidst the natural splendor of the region.Then pause at the Gudauri viewpoint to enjoy stunning mountain views that will amaze you.
Finally,we will get to Kazbegi, a mountainous haven cradled beneath the majestic Mount Kazbek. Here, you’ll find the Gergeti Trinity Church, a majestic sight set against the backdrop of this iconic mountain.
As the day comes to an end we’ll return to Tbilisi.
Free time for dinner.

Day 7: An unforgettable day trip to Kakheti

Are you ready for your Kakheti adventure, where we’ll explore the enchanting Alazani Valley? If yes, let’s start!
We’ll  begin with a visit to Sighnaghi, often called the “City of Love” and known as a Royal Town, which was an important stop on the Great Silk Road. Here you’ll marvel at its defensive walls adorned with 23 towers. Don’t miss the chance to savor local wines and take a leisurely stroll through this charming city.
Next  stop is at Bodbe Convent, a place where St. Nino, who played an important  role in Georgia’s conversion to Christianity in the 4th century, is buried.
As the day comes to the end we’ll drive you back and drop you off at your Tbilisi hotel, marking the end of your magnificent Kakheti Tour.

Day 8: Free Morning – Departure 

For the last day you will have a free morning in Tbilisi. Depending on your departure time you might have a chance to take a leisurely stroll through the city streets. Discover welcoming cafes, bustling markets, and the warm hospitality of the local people. 

Transfer to the airport and departure to home.
